What do you feel when someone spurt blood at you? Weird?
That is exactly what Horned Lizard does. It squirts blood through its eye, yes its eye :)
It got its name due to the presence of horn like structures on its head.
When it is attacked by a predator it uses the blood squirting way to save its life. When it is being attacked the blood flow is directed towards the area behind the eye lids and it spurts blood with a good force.
There were cases in which a lizard spurted 52 times during a period of 2 minutes. That's a lot of blood. But its life is more important than blood.
