Internet is up in Ubuntu

At last... I got internet in Ubuntu...

Long time back due to lightning, the Ethernet port of my ADSL Modem and also the Ethernet of the PC both had burned off. So, only the USB was working, in Windows it was fine. But, in Linux I tried everything, searched Google for hours without any success. ADSL Modem with USB is almost impossible with Linux.

Now, I got the Modem replaced and bought a new Ethernet Card.
Setup using pppoeconf.
Connect using pon and Disconnect using poff.
View usage stats using vnstat or System Monitor.

I am sure this is gonna be a fun ride.

I recommend Ubuntu Geek for any troubleshooting.
