I upgraded to Karmic Koala and the Firefox Search Bar stopped functioning.

The Search Bar is the small area on the right of the Address bar.
If I give a keyword and press ENTER or click the 'Magnifying glass' icon, nothing happens.
Here is the fix:
1. Shut down
firefox
2. Go to mozilla profile folder (
$HOME/.mozilla/firefox/<something>
)3. Rename
formhistory.sqlite
to something elsemv formhistory.sqlite formhistory.sqlite.bak
That's all :)

That fix worked! Also for Firefox 3.6.3 on Windows XP
It worked! Thank you so much - this had been bothering the CRAP out of me!
Before you go to this extreme, you might also check whether you have the Hyperwords add-on installed. I was having trouble typing keywords into the Find box (CTRL + F). After trying several other things, with no success, I finally disabled Hyperwords and all is working perfectly now.
I hate to lose the cool functionality of this add-on, but until it is fixed, I'll have to live without Hyperwords.
THANKS!!! It do works!
Great, it worked.
